This first article in the series on adapted lenses for the Hasselblad X1D 50c/X1D 50c mark II medium format digital camera will cover a set of lenses for the Canon FD mount that Canon used before switching to the EOS line of cameras with their EF and EFS mounts.
For a long time I have owned a Canon AE-1 and Canon A-1 and have collected a large number of lenses from both Canon and other manufacturers. These I have now tested with a newly acquired lens adapter and the results were surprising.

Furthermore, the article on adapting Canon FD glass is the first in a series of articles on adapting vintage glass to the Hasselblad X1D mark II camera. I’ll be testing a huge amount of lenses from other brands and made for other lens mounts: Yashica lenses for the Yashica/Contax mount, Olympus OM lenses, Helios M42 screw mount lenses, Canon EF lenses, Nikon F-mount lenses, and a load of “non-brand” lenses for different mounts.
